PERRY, Okla. — The Ditch Witch organization announces the release of the new RT30, a ride-on, dedicated trencher with a sturdy, durable frame and field-proven components designed to provide consistently solid performance job after job, year after year.
The RT30 is built to handle some of the toughest conditions a jobsite can offer. It has an exceptionally robust trencher drive motor that utilizes a larger shaft and bearings than those of smaller trenchers, ultimately resulting in less maintenance and greater productivity. Its advanced, maintenance-free pivot design is simplified and raised to keep the RT30 above dirt and debris. And its 24.8-hp (17.9-kW) Kubota diesel engine provides plenty of power for trenching in a wide variety of ground conditions.
With this stout infrastructure—along with a compact footprint, tight turning radius, four-wheel drive, and industry-leading maneuverability—the RT30 is ideal for installations on tight residential jobsites.
The RT30 is an excellent value, giving rental companies an opportunity to offer a product more powerful than a walk-behind and more affordable than standard-size ride-on trenchers. Owners will enjoy the benefits of low maintenance and reliable performance, and operators will enjoy the RT30’s comfortable operator’s station, easy-to-use trencher controls that require minimal training, and simple foot pedals that control forward and reverse.
The RT30 can dig a trench up to 8 inches (20 cm) wide and 42 inches (107 cm) deep. Its 42-inch boom provides a 36-inch (91-cm) cover depth, which satisfies most city codes and requirements.
