The new 980 fault-locating system makes it easier than ever to locate ground-faults that you can repair, saving you the prohibitive expense of replacing the entire cable. Designed and manufactured entirely at the company's headquarters in Perry, Oklahoma, the 980 fault system—which replaces but is compatible with the AF2/FT14 system—consists of a 980T locator and fault transmitter, a 980FT fault-only transmitter, and a 980SFP fault probe.

The 980SFP fault probe features a rugged yet lightweight, welded aluminum frame that folds for easy transport.
With just two buttons and an easy-to-read display, the 980SFP is as easy to use as it is to carry.
The 980SFP's remote probe—standard equipment—enables the operator to follow a signal under sidewalks and around trees and other obstacles.
The 980T can transmit signals to both Ditch Witch line locators and Ditch Witch fault locators, so operators can pinpoint the line and then the fault, all with one system.

For simple fault locating, the 980FT fault-only transmitter provides an easy-to-use and affordable solution.
Both the transmitter and detector operate on consumer alkaline batteries.
